Game 3: Bruins @ Rangers – The Biggest Game of the Season.

This is it.

This is the biggest game of the season.

For one, if the Rangers lose, they are not going to come back from being down 0-3. They simply don’t have the power play, or the offense to create history.

Secondly, if Torts loses this game and subsequently the series, he’s gone. TSN’s Darren Dreger speculated as much today. Dreger, echoing what we have been saying for most of the year thinks it could happen.

The critical problem for Torts is that the power play and his inability to fix it has become a league-wide joke, with some national media folks calling him out on it. They may try to pin it on the lockout, but that doesn’t work. So for the coach, this game is enormous.

The Rangers will be back at MSG, where they have been very good this year, and Henrik Lundqvist will have something to prove after his worst game in a very long time. The Blueshirts love the home cooking and a win tonight, will go miles towards pumping up their confidence. It looks like they are embarrassed at where they are, and perhaps tonight they explode, maybe even find a power play goal or two. Lord knows they need it.

This is the whole season right here. If they win this game they have a chance.

This is it.

Let’s go Rangers!
