The NHL decided not to fine or suspend Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty Sunday after his hit from behind that drove Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh's head into the glass in Montreal on Saturday, knocking him out of the game.

Rangers goalie Martin Biron lay face do wn on the ice late in Saturday’s third period in Montreal, dazed by an inadvertent knee to the head from Canadiens forward Travis Moen. So Brian Boyle reacted, charging after Moen. It didn’t matter that he hadn’t seen the play. Boyle’s teammate needed him.
